Assembly on Gurukulam Mornings

Gurukulam begins at 9:45 AM with the Assembly. We highly encourage parents to bring their kids on time for the Assembly since it gets the kids ready for Dharma class in the right frame of mind. The Bhajans, Shlokas, Subhashitam, Vishnu Sahasranamam and Medha Suktam are all amazing resources for their growing minds.

Assembly Schedule

09:45 AM - 10:00 AM: Bhajans

Our highly talented singers start the Assembly on an auspicious and melodious note with the Bhajans. As they get familiar with the Bhajans, even our youngest children start following and then singing with the lead singers, leading to heightened energy in the hall.

10:00 AM to 10:05 AM: Dhyana Slokas, Medha Suktam, Shanti Mantra

The children repeat their Shlokas with our Gurukulam presenters. There is a lot of positive vibrations in the hall as everyone chants their Shlokas together. Medha Suktam is chanted by our respected Priests or Assembly speakers as the kids meditate. This is a very pious and powerful Suktam, which enables great powers of focus, intellect and concentration on those who listen and meditate to it.

10:05 AM to 10:10 AM: Subhashitham

Subhashitham is the Moral of the Day usually illustrated with the presentation of a simple story or video, which helps the children understand and remember the moral and story better.

10:10 AM to 10:15 AM: Announcements

Announcements are made as needed by our lead coordinator.

10:15 AM to 10:20 AM: Music and Classes Disperse

Melodious music plays while students from each class follow their respective teachers in an organized and orderly manner.
