We started the class with Om chanting and the opening prayer.

When polled, only a few students had started on their essays… But kudos to Dhanyasri for reading out her essay in the class 👏👏
I hope more students will come forward to share their essays with all 😊

We had a few tabla students join us in the class and we did two rounds of practice of the Hanuman Chalisa with tabla (following the MSS tune).

We then shared the story of how Akbar met young Mahesh Das and how he was impressed with his cleverness and quick wit to get a job in his court and was named Birbal 😊
(On a lighter note, I learnt there are a few Mahesh Babu fans in the class 😃😃)

It’s always a happy moment for me to spend time with the kids, see the sparkle in their eyes, and enjoy their exciting tidbits 😃

05.04.25 Class Update

Class 2 and Class 3 were combined so we could summarize the topics discussed so far and practice for the May 18^th presentation.

Gita – Practiced 1:1 all 11 shlokas. Kids will recite 1–12 on May 18.

Hanuman Chalisa – Practiced 1–15.
With a few kids not able to practice at home, we are having difficulty completing the remaining 5 as planned.
Please play the audio version of the Gita and Hanuman Chalisa every day so the children can recite along.
We request parents to assist the kids in the coming days.

This batch will chant Hanuman Chalisa (not in a specific musical tune but in the regular chanting style).

We have provided some green craft paper for the toran making project. All kids must bring the cut-out leaves in the next class. We want them to complete it by then.
