Mario Garza is a tabla percussionist and kirtaniya based in Austin, Texas. Since 2010, he has studied khayal under the Senia gharana and sri-khol mridanga under Guadiya Vaishnav instructors. He accompanies singers and sitarists in Classical Hindustani, light classical, geet, bhajan, thumri, kirtan, and traditional Mexican ensembles. Outside of music, Mario develops training curricula in information technology, organization branding, and currently studies for a Masters in Religion at the Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He works for the National Center for Farmworker Health and is fluent in Spanish.
