Meenakshi is a devoted practitioner of Carnatic music with a profound love for its intricate rhythms, soul-stirring melodies, and profound spiritual essence. Her journey in this musical tradition began at the blessings of her parents and grandfather when she was 3 years of age and started showing interest towards classical music every time her mother or grandfather sang or a song that was played on a taperecorder. She is embarking on the journey of sharing knowledge and to support students of all ages and levels of proficiency. Her teaching methodology focuses on nurturing a deep understanding of raga, tala, and bhava (emotion) while ensuring a strong foundation in vocal technique and improvisation.
